ART AUCTION and HOUSE CONCERT FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS!

A good time was had by all who attended the First Annual Silent Art Auction for the WATONGA ARTS CENTER. There was some unique and wonderful art, conversations about art and music, and a live performance by singer/songwriters Brian Pounds and Grace Pettis.

Some of the art pieces that were donated and not purchased on Sunday are still available to purchase and on display at the Chaparral Retreat, by appointment. Call Linda Barrett at 940-735-1065.
The Chaparral Retreat is located on Hwy 8A, the road to Roman Nose State Park.

Phoenix Circle Foundation participated in the annual Christmas Bazaar at the Blaine County fairgrounds on the first Saturday in December, and we sold several works of art, from Lou Hamilton (Weatherford metal artist) Adam Youngbear, and  a young photographer (who prefers to remain anonymous).  It was a long, busy day but well spent seeing all of the other booths and wares and visiting with new and long-time friends.

While you are in the area, stop in at the Whirlwind Winery to see some of local artst Brenda Weyrick's oil paintings are on display (and for sale) there also.
