CALENDAR -- Watonga activities and events

With efforts being made to revitalize Watonga and everyone working together for the good of the community, I think communication is important.  Not everyone is on Facebook or Twitter, or has email or uses a smart phone. I have set up a public facebook GROUP called  Blaine County Calendar.  I invite anyone who wants to share information about activities and events to join the Group and then post those activities and events on the group page.  I will also use this blog to share information as I learn about activities and events.  For example, today, May 5, I know there is a Cinco de Mayo dinner at the Methodist Church, though I didn't learn about it from the Church or facebook posts.  There is also a movie night, with Mexican food, fun and games, at Roman Nose State Park, and the Okeene Historic Preservation Group is holding its annual Germanfest at The Corner in Okeene.  My hope is that by using this additional resource we can all be better informed and possibly avoid scheduling conflicts.  This blog is public, so anyone can read it.  I ask that comments both on this blog and on the Group page be limited to information about activities and events, which can include fundraisers, sporting events, meetings, offers from businesses, etc.
