POLICE question

Fri. Oct. 25.
Does anyone know the explanation for why a Watonga police officer drove a city police vehicle to the Cherokee stop at Hwy 281 and I-40 after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, with a civilian passenger?  Was the officer on duty at the time?  Unless there was some official business conducted (and it didn't appear so, as the couple went into the Subway store, purchased some food, and then drove back to Watonga), it would appear that the trip was an abuse and misuse of City resources.  If someone has an explanation, please comment!

  1. Well first of all, it was official business, official police business, he was transporting someone...a person in which doesnt need to be named, and after he transported that person he decided to get something to eat. WHY was there a female with him? Because men are not supposed to transport females without a female to supervise along transportation. Hope your happy :) it was not abuse nor misuse of the city resources.

  2. Take no offense, I didnt mean for it to be hurtful, if it sounded that way, I wanted it to be helpful.

  3. Why was that person only transported to exit 101 and back?

  4. CJ, no offense taken. We posted the question to get an answer to what we saw --thanks for your input. The purpose of the blog is to give and get information freely. We don't need names. We were given the same answer by someone else.
The question itself arose because in the past, people from Watonga have been transported on official business to OKC by the Sheriff's deputies; and in some instances a female has been transported by City police without a female escort. Thanks for reading and please feel free to comment any time!
